    Job Overview



    The primary function of the Architectural Hotline Representative is to provide product assistance to our internal and external contacts. This position takes a variety of questions from our customers on a daily basis mostly Trade Professionals including Architects, Engineers, Contractors, and Homeowners in addition to our Dealers and Outside Sales Team. This is done through multiple forms of communication such as email, calls, and collaborative meetings. Items addressed to the Architectural Hotline would include technical information, Pricing assistance, Structural requirements, Product limitations, and Recommendations and CAD drawings for Marvin Product Collections, which can be submitted via email, phone and our Order Management System. This position also works with various departments to provide support, such as Inside Sales , Service, Order Review , Architectural, Purchasing, Signature, R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing & Purchasing.



    Highlights of your role

      Provide "order ready" priced quotes to internal and external customers using The Marvin OMS order/quote management software and various pricing libraries.
    • Answer technical product questions to aid in the quoting and sale of the project.
    • Maintain organized technical information and quotes within library for ease of navigation and searches.
    • Compare request to OMS created quote for accuracy to ensure accurate pricing quotes are being provided to customers and are complete and accurate.
    • Recommend structural requirements, using analysis spreadsheets for structurally sound window assembly
    • Continuous improvement, accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, striving to improve results, and remain current in the field.
    • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude during all business interactions.
    • Articulate well in written and verbal communication, able to compose professionally written communications with accurate spelling and punctuation.
    • Attend recommended training sessions to learn product features/benefits and part identification to gain knowledge of current and obsolete windows and doors.
    • Attending systems training to learn the technology tools that support our business. (Salesforce, ICIM, Siebel, MODL, Mitel, Vault, OMS, MOS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint).
    • Learn best practices to manage daily workload and navigate Salesforce cases.
    • Create a collaborative relationship with the customer services team and other supporting departments resulting in successful solutions.
    • Learn individual and team goals for customer service excellence.

    • Responsible to manage their daily workloads.

    • Comfortable working within the Microsoft Office suite.

    • Requires daily use of office equipment such as computer, telephone, copier, and printer.
    • Minimal travel, possible overnight travel for training at Marvin facilities.
    • Understanding of drafting concepts
    • Proficient computer skills
    • Ability to provide full scale shop drawings (elevations, details & product schedules)
    • Ability to create and critique customer templates
    • Project Management abilities
    • Knowledge of all Marvin collections
    • 3D visualization skills
    • Industry Accreditation
    • High to extremely high product knowledge
    • High to extremely high workload output
    • High to extremely high pricing knowledge
    • Subject matter expert in one or multiple subjects
    • Strong ability to provide custom solutions on very large, detailed projects.
    • Strong understanding of installation drawings, 3D drawings, PE stamped drawings, International Building Code, CSI specs, test reports, field testing and LEED.
    • Must have a solution-oriented mindset to achieve the success of the project scope
    • Proficient multitasking skills
    • Ability to interact and grow a professional network internally and externally
    • Ability to influence and manage a small project both internally and externally
    • This position requires basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures with the ability to apply them in routine situations.



    Also want to make sure you have

    • Associate degree or 2 years of college or equivalent vocational/technical training or 2+ years' experience in customer service.
