Work Planner Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Work Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors and value independence.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect customer requests for pruning or removals.
• Secure clear rights-of-way for new line and pole construction.
• Handle customer complaints related to scheduled pruning and/or completed pruning.
• Audit tree contractor's work for compliance with utility specifications.
• Assist in storm and emergency situations and other miscellaneous line clearance projects.
• Operate system forestry computer programs and record systems.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of direct UVM experience or equivalent in forestry combined with equipment and tree trimming practices. An associate or bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of Utility Vegetation Management practices and ability to hike ROWs and drive for extended periods are also essential. Additionally, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail are necessary.
