Pediatric Quality Coordinator - Emergency DepartmentJob Description
The Pediatric Quality Coordinator is responsible for facilitating high quality emergency department and hospital care for pediatric patients by initiating and maintaining current pediatric protocols, implementing needed improvements, and taking part in pediatric quality improvement projects within Region 6.
The position will facilitate successful submission and completion of all Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics designation requirements and collaborate with Emergency Management to ensure Pediatric considerations are implemented within department, hospital and community emergency operation plans.

Active RN in the State of IL
Pay based on applicable experience; starting at $29.08
Responsibilities
Attend the EMS Regional QI subcommittee meetings and yearly regional meeting at Carle.
, Collaborate with Emergency Management to ensure Pediatric considerations are implemented within department, hospital, and community emergency operation plans., Coordinate data collection for identified clinical indicators and outcomes., Develop, implement and participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and perform quality audits as directed/needed., Ensure that QI information shall be made available to the Illinois Department of Public Health upon request., Facilitate successful submission and completion of all Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics designation requirements., Identifies needed pediatric improvements within the department and together with leadership, facilitates changes., Maintain pediatric critical care clinical competency through regularly scheduled nursing shifts and serves as resource in Pediatric critical cases, traumas, and codes., Maintains current Emergency Department Pediatric Policies and formulates new policies as directed/needed., Participate in regional QI activities and provide a written QI report., Performs audits on all pediatric deaths, critical care, transfers, abuse, and neglect cases., Serve as ED Pediatric representative on department, hospital, and community committees.
, Together with the ED clinical educator, facilitates pediatric education opportunities and competencies for new and current Emergency Department Professional StaffRequirements:
ADN (Required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support W/I 90 Days - Sarah Bush Lincoln, BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
