Job Overview

As an Evening Janitorial Cleaning Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across assigned facilities. Your attention to detail and consistency will ensure spaces are organized, sanitized, and prepared for the next day's operations.

You will work independently while following designated cleaning checklists and company procedures using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies.

Schedule & Compensation

• Evening shifts typically between 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Part-time: 5–10 hours per week to start
• Additional hours available based on performance and contracts
• Pay: $16–$18 per hour
• Paid via bi-weekly direct deposit

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Follow assigned cleaning checklists using company app
• Vacuum carpets and maintain floor surfaces
• Sweep, mop, and perform floor care procedures
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces and maintain hygiene standards
• Clean windows, fixtures, furniture, and shared spaces
• Maintain organized and clutter-free environments
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment safely
• Perform light maintenance tasks (report repairs, replace light bulbs when needed)
• Follow all safety procedures and cleaning protocols
• Complete shift reports and documentation accurately
• Report supply needs or facility concerns to management

Requirements

• Reliable transportation (required — please do not apply without a vehicle)
• Smartphone with internet access capable of running work applications
• Ability to work consistent evening shifts
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs (including backpack vacuum use)
• Physically able to stand, bend, kneel, and move during shifts
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to read, follow instructions, and communicate effectively

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in commercial or industrial cleaning (preferred but not required)
• Knowledge of janitorial procedures and custodial best practices
• Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing or polishing
• Experience operating cleaning equipment (buffers, vacuums, extractors)
• Basic facilities maintenance awareness
• Strong reliability and professional work ethic
