    The ideal candidates will have a passion for meeting diverse audiences and be willing to learn and explain complex federal regulations to broad audiences in a manner easy to understand.

    As part of the Advising & Outreach Team, the incumbents will assist in meeting the needs of current and prospective students with our School of Medicine and Public Health.

    Primary focus will be on fulfilling the financial aid and financial wellness needs of our students enrolled with the School of Medicine and Public Health.

    This posting is to fill two advisor positions.

    Responsibilities:

    This posting is to fill two advisor positions.

    Responsibilities:


    Performs various duties related to financial aid, including advising students on the financial aid process and performing outreach on financial aid.

    70% Serves as point of contact for students and associated individuals about financial aid information and processes
    10% Performs outreach related to financial aid
    5% May hire, train, and supervise student employees

    10% Contribute to office policy and procedures updates by regularly attending meetings, webinars, conferences and professional development opportunities on financial wellness and federal financial regulations to stay current with policy changes/updates.

    5% DEM is committed to the highest standard of service. This position will be a role model by practicing exemplary, respectful and inclusive behaviors in all interactions. Participation in unit and divisional diversity & inclusion plans are mandatory.

    Tasks:
    Assists in collecting, preparing, and analyzing financial aid data for stakeholders
    Provide customer service assistance at the front desk.
