    Description
    StarsHR has the following long-term remote/virtual contract available with our client.

    *Software Quality Assurance Analyst**Job Description:

    • Strive to ensure high quality release packages are assembled, compiled, deployed, tested and meet all auditing standards.
    • Collaborate with software development, configuration management, software testing and production deployment teams.
    • Work to prepare application builds based on release requirements and will certify the deployment via execution of environment shakedown or smoke testing.
    • Perform audit functions to ensure appropriate procedures are followed.
    *Required Experience:

    • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux or other OS platforms
    • Experience with Web Services testing and proficient use of SOAPUI
    • Experience with query languages to view data to verify test results
    • Experience working on projects with .NET framework or other Object Oriented framework
    • Experience working with Web application testing
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    *Responsibilities:
    . Performs audit functions to ensure appropriate procedures are followed

    . Coordinates delivery of scoped activities within a software build

    . Develops and executes manual & automated test cases

    . Files descriptive and accurate defect reports as necessary

    . Works with Business Analyst and Development team to learn Software Development processes and methodologies

    . Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications.

    . Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, creating reusable test data, test case automation, and test execution.

    . Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status.

    . Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs.

    . Documents all problems and assist in their resolution.

    . Participates in the delivery of quality process training to technical staff.

    . Participates in quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.

    *Qualifications:

    • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Linux or other OS platforms
    • Experience with Web Services testing and proficient use of SOAPUI
    • Experience with query languages to view data to verify test results
    • Must have 1+ yrs. experience in QA/Testing in Salesforce.
    • Basic knowledge of source (code) control
    • Basic knowledge of database Microsoft SQL Server series
    • Effective in a fast paced environment
    • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
    • Collaborative/enjoys working in teams
    • Self-starter/motivated
    • Creative and effective problem solving skills
    • Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently
    • Detail oriented, organized and thorough
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Must have worked on projects with .NET framework or other Object Oriented framework
    • Must have worked with Web application testing
    Position is basically 100% virtual/remote. If our client wants you to attend the occasional onsite meeting they will pay expenses. Candidates MUST be located within the Continental United States in either the Eastern or Central Time Zones. StarsHR can provide sponsorship and/or benefits while contracting with our company.
