- The assembler will be responsible for adhering to standardized work procedures and sequences, and will carry out the following tasks:
- Verify: read and follow SMC blueprints and assembly instructions to ensure that the finished product matches the order.
- Assemble: use power tools or machines to put together the final SMC product, repeating this process for each day's assignments.
- Test and Inspect: the final product will undergo testing, labeling, and inspection to guarantee proper assembly and leak-free operation.
- Comply with all company policies and safety protocols.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor on a daily basis.
- New hires will receive extra training on SMC ERP systems, standards, and practices.
- This role requires standing, walking, using hands to handle objects, operating controls, reaching with hands and arms, and lifting heavy components as necessary (an overhead hoist will be provided by SMC). The work environment, though temperature-controlled, may expose you to noise, heat, cold, dust, lubricants, and solvents.
- No prior experience is required.
- Must be willing to work overtime on weekdays/weekends as needed (multiple daytime schedules available).
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills.
