    Description


    Our global manufacturing client, overseeing a diverse portfolio of companies worldwide, is on the lookout for a Senior Cost Accountant to join their team.

    As a vital member of the Corporate Cost Accounting team, you'll play a key role in various objectives.

    This includes analyzing root causes related to purchasing, production, and inventory variances, collaborating with business units on raw material development, and contributing to the monthly Cost Accounting Packages for over 35 companies.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Contribute to the implementation and development of best practices in cost accounting processes for production and distribution facilities globally.
    Analyze and identify root causes for variances in purchasing, production, and inventory.
    Collaborate with business units to establish standard costs for raw material, work in process, and finished goods.
    Participate in data gathering for monthly Cost Accounting Packages for 35+ companies.
    Monitor warehouse transactions and support the annual budget process, including capital budgets.

    Undertake various related tasks in areas such as bills of materials, production routings, cost centers, activity types, allocations, and master data maintenance.

    Take on special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
    3-5 years of accounting/finance experience, with 1-3 years of recent cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
    Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.
    SAP experience is a plus.
