    .Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a qualified Travel PET/CT Technologist to join a progressive healthcare facility in Utica, NY This M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM 13 week contract offers a chance to showcase your expertise while exploring the historical charm and outdoor adventures Utica has to offer.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct high-quality PET and CT scans using a GE Discovery scanner for various diagnostic purposes (approx. 6-8 exams daily).
    • Prepare patients for scans, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort.
    • Administer radiopharmaceuticals (F18 FDG, PSMA, Ga-68) following safety protocols.
    • Utilize Epic EMR and Change Healthcare PACS for image processing and documentation.
    • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to analyze and interpret imaging results.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and records of procedures performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid New York state license as a CT Technologist.
    • AART (R) (CT)
    • BLS (AHA)
    • Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a PET/CT Tech.
    • You'll play a vital role in the diagnostic imaging department, performing PET and CT scans for a variety of patient needs. This includes PET scans utilizing F18 FDG, PSMA, and Ga-68 radiopharmaceuticals.
    • Responsibilities include patient positioning, image acquisition using GE Discovery scanner and Siemens Definition CTs, and quality control procedures.
    • Strong technical skills in operating CT equipment and software, with knowledge of protocols and procedures.
    • Epic EMR, Change Healthcare PACS experience
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
    • Ability to work dayshifts and adapt to a 8-hour shift schedule.
