- Perform maintenance and repair work on gasoline and diesel engines, such as adjusting crankshafts, fitting pistons, and servicing bearings.
- Lead major repair projects including overhauling transmissions and differentials.
- Regularly inspect and troubleshoot fuel, cooling, and exhaust systems for optimal performance.
- Thoroughly examine, maintain, and fix electrical systems, vehicle frames, air brakes, and other components.
- Utilize specialized equipment like valve-grinders, lathes, and welding tools with precision and safety.
- Assist in repairing specialized machinery.
- Proficiently operate a variety of power tools.
- Adhere to the workplace dress code and prioritise safety protocols.
- Prepare vehicles for Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections.
- Execute additional duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated expertise in automotive repair tools and techniques.
- Strong focus on safety practices.
- Ability to handle complex vehicle repairs efficiently.
- Quick problem-solving skills for mechanical issues.
- Comfortable working independently by following guidelines or using personal judgment.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
- Physically fit, agile, and dependable.
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification.
- 1-2 years of practical experience in car maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with DOT standards.
- Combination of formal training and hands-on experience.
- CDL Class A or B with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements preferred.
- Fluency in Ukrainian/Russian and English is advantageous.
