    The Dock Worker will support production and revenue goals by following proper handling, loading and unloading procedures.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Minimize damage to donated items
    • Proper loading on and off of trucks
    • Handle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakage
    • Sort and label goods by category and place in proper containers or equipment
    • Separate high-end goods, computer and computer accessory and place in proper equipment
    • Perform inventory count based on invoices, bills of lading, trailer manifest or packing slip when loading and unloading goods and when loading and unloading shipments and store returns
    • Fill out needed production and inventory reports and submit in a timely manner
    • Assist drivers in loading / unloading of goods or equipment
    • Deliver goods to work station using proper equipment
    • Maintain good housekeeping around dock area
    • Assist supervisor in providing on the job training to new staff, participants, clients and volunteers
    • Perform "Processor" function when needed
    • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements
    • Less than 1 year of related experience
    • Read and write English proficiently
    • Basic mathematical skills
    • Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse group of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds
    • Follow workplace quality and safety standards and contribute to a culture of safety
    • Receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embrace continuous improvement
    • Ability to identify different categories of donated goods such as clothing, housewares, shoes, purses, etc.
    • Ability?to work evening and weekend shifts
    Salary Description

    $16.50 per hour
