    The Finance team


    is responsible for all
    ZSfinancial matters, including financial business partnering, planning, analysis, reporting, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger and tax.

    FINANCE ANALYST, FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNERING

    We seek an experienced finance professional to join our finance team in Evanston.

    Successful candidates will be an instrumental part of the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team, providing strategic analysis and insight to client teams, which will influence actions that steer the firm.


    This role requires an individual to possess a strong foundation in financial management as well as the ability to leverage a consultative approach in order to build credibility with business leaders.

    You will be working closely with Finance colleagues, ZS; Principals and our project delivery teams.


    Responsibilities:
    Support the firm in its goal to drive and improve performance in line with strategic plans
    Work with FBP Team Leads in supporting Client facing Principals and Project Management Teams to ensure financial success of our client engagements
    Support with regular reporting and analysis, as well as conducting proactive analysis on financial status and outlook
    Explain key findings, highlight areas of concern and variances to senior finance and business stakeholders
    Engage effectively with project teams and finance colleagues at all levels to identify and resolve any financial issues relating to a particular space
    Understand P&L revenue and cost drivers to aid client leads in improving profitability for a space
    Support with creation and maintenance of detailed forecasts for revenue, cost, and profit, including pipeline tracking/business development support
    Increase the awareness of good financial management practices across the firm.
    Update revenue and profit forecasts for client accounts, markets, and regions
    Perform cost analysis to capture insights on company expense trends
    Conduct ad hoc financial analysis support
    Support client teams in project pricing
    Support large ongoing client projects by calculating cost and margin variances from original plan


    Qualifications:
    BA/BS degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Business or related field, master's degree welcomed
    Up to 2 years of relevant experience
    Strong software and analytical skills using MS Excel/VBA/macros and experience with large data sets a plus
    Demonstrated problem-solving skills in a multi-stakeholder environment
    Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multitask
    Curiosity for how a business performs and can improve
    Motivation, personal initiative and strong collaborative skills.
