$41,600 - $52,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 6 AM - 2:30 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilitiesRecord daily time sheets and other job required information. Notify supervisor of product, machine, equipment, or programming problems and discrepancies. Operate CNC machines by entering commands to retrieve preprogrammed machine instructions from database; adjust and edit programs when necessary; works from drawings, blueprints, specifications, and written and verbal instructions. Will be responsible for programming your own work using Gibbs Cam or Surfcam. Review setup sheet and specifications to determine setup procedure, machining sequence, and dimensions of finished product. Responsible for maintaining proper cutting tools; changes cutting tools and location of components during machining process as specified in setup instructions. Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as damaged cutting tools. Design and build fixtures to hold components; attach fixture to machine. Use precision measurement equipment such as micrometers, height indicators, calipers, gauge blocks, and other like instruments. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, EDM, boring machines, radial drill presses, band saws, and grinders. Use blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as feeds, speeds, etc. Assemble and disassemble molds; check mold for parting line fit and damage. Grind, file, and sand parts to fit components for assembly and to smooth and finish cavities.
