    underwrites professional and management liability lines, financial institution bonds, surety bonds, property, and general liability insurance for the banking industry.

    The program began over 30 years ago as a long-term and stable insurance program for banks.

    ABA Insurance Services is seeking an individual to serve as a Risk Analysis Manager for our Financial Products lines.

    As the Risk Analysis Manager, you will analyze our in-force book as well as industry trends to identify insurance risk and assist in the development of corresponding action plans.

    The candidate must have the ability to develop effective relationships through strong interpersonal skills. Job title and job grade will depend on the successful

    applicant's level

    Responsibilities

    :


    Analyze and monitor areas of potential risk within our in-force book to quickly identify regulatory issues, financial issues and other areas of insurance concern.

    Conduct on-site investigations or underwriting calls with the bank's management team and make internal recommendations on the appropriate underwriting course of action.

    Manage the SPG relationship regarding data requests, analytical product availability and data accuracy.
    Ensure completeness and accuracy of underwriting financial information, including key ratios for both insured and non-insured banks.
    Analyze and monitor industry trends and recommend proactive underwriting actions to maintain/improve the program's loss experience.
    Provide education and guidance for underwriters, agents and insureds regarding regulatory issues and systemic banking concerns.
    Perform account risk selection/rejection within scope of authority and per divisional objectives.

    Use independent judgment and initiative to support business goals.
    Maintain a high level of customer service.
    Analyze submissions and determine terms to offer (policy limits, deductibles, coverage options, etc.).
    Prepare effective internal and external communications on underwriting issues.
    Develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers in order to attract and retain profitable business.
    Apply underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.

    Provide guidance and assistance to lower-level associates.
    Other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications :

    4+ years of banking regulatory experience, banking compliance experience and/or experience in preparing and analyzing bank financial statements.
    Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other Business related field.
    High level of organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills to leverage excellent customer relationships, and to provide opportunities for marketing products and services.

    Must have strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
    Must be open occasional overnight

    travel. Estimated

    5-10 times per year.
    Able to work autonomously.
