Team Elmer's is hiring Dirt Laborers

If you're ready to get your hands dirty and work alongside a skilled construction team, Team Elmer's has an opportunity for you! As a Dirt Laborer, you'll play a crucial role in providing support and assistance on various projects.

• Perform physical labor tasks at construction sites, including highway and heavy construction projects.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools to get the job done.
• Use shovels and machinery to dig dirt and trenches.
• Clean and prepare sites, set up braces, and remove debris.
• Read grades, lift heavy objects, and carry materials as needed.
• Maintain equipment, report any issues, and prioritize safety on the job site.
• Anticipate project needs, work as a team player, and assist other crew members.
• Help regulate traffic and perform other assigned duties as required.

The list of responsibilities above is not exhaustive, and you may be asked to take on additional tasks within the scope of the position.

• Minimum of 6 months of construction experience, ideally including work with mini excavators or skid steer loaders.
• Possession of a valid license, CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one within a year.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
• Previous manual labor experience desirable.
• Capability to handle power tools, operate heavy equipment, and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to learn, follow directions, and collaborate within a team environment.
• Physically fit to work long hours, lift heavy objects, and endure various environmental conditions.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and mechanical knowledge.
• Knowledge of construction materials and safety protocols.
