Clerk Typist

A local Erie company is seeking a Clerk Typist who will support the efficient operation of the office servicing local housing units. The right candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, enjoy tackling challenges, and will be able to adapt to new processes and procedures quickly and adeptly.

Responsibilities

• Support office operations for 478 housing units
• Manage phone calls, rent calculations, and tenant inquiries
• Process paperwork, including leases, rent statements, and eviction notices
• Coordinate maintenance requests and office supplies
• Maintain accurate records and assist with administrative tasks
• Handle accounts receivable transactions

Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in office software and equipment including fax machines, 10-key calculators, postage meters, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Quick learner
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Strong typing skills of at least 50 wpm

Benefits/Compensation

• Full time
• Monday through Friday
• 8am-5pm with an hour lunch
• $16/Hour (Pay increase after probationary period)
• Union position after probationary period
• Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
• Benefits available while employed through Career Concepts
• Temp-To-Hire
• Benefits after Probation period (PTO, health insurance, retirement plan)
