- Investigate coverage to determine compensability.
- Assign and supervise vendor resources such as independent adjusters, engineers and other experts as needed.
- Recognize and pursue recovery opportunities and prepare submissions to Special Investigation Unit.
- Determine accurate and adequate reserves on assigned claims.
- Provide accurate assessments and negotiate fair and efficient claims resolutions while managing costs.
- Settle losses within granted authority according to documented damage, language of policy of insurance, and pertinent regulatory and statutory considerations.
- Monitor medical management.
- Initiate and control delivery of accurate and timely workers compensation benefits.
- Prepare written communication including settlement letters, disclaimers of coverage, and reservation of rights letters.
