    Overview:
    Our HKS Washington DC and Richmond locations are searching for a talented Sr. Project Manager to join their Health team.
    Primary managerial position in project-related functions and is ultimately responsible for project successes. Recognized ability to impact revenue and growth for multiple projects.

    Possesses strong leadership and communication skills, a flexible attitude, ability to solve problems creatively and ability to foster and manage effective client relationships.

    Responsible for high-impact decisions across multiple projects. Endorses the firm's values by personally influencing client service, innovation and communication.


    Responsibilities:
    Acts as primary client relationship owner, building and strengthening connections through a comprehensive understanding of their project mission, goals, policies, needs and progressManages the execution and delivery of implementation documents through all phases of projects, including post-occupancy evaluation and sharing/harvesting lessons learned and project impactCollaborates on the design process including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, document preparation and construction administrationOversees coordination of project team interaction both internally and all other project participantsOversees application of products and materials appropriate for the projectManages and oversees the project teams in collaboration with other disciplines to establish design solutions that can be technically implemented within the constraints of the project goals, budgets, available time and within local ordinances and codesLeads client presentations and public hearings as neededHolds project teams responsible for detailed code and zoning analysis, performance analysis and deliverables on HKS standards, best practices and quality expectationsOversees project meeting management, including scheduling, determining meeting purpose, preparing agendas and meeting report and maintaining action items log on regular basisAttends on-site visits and field reviews as necessaryManages conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environmentFosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with the project team, including promoting communication and creating approachabilityActively promotes and incorporates the firm's principles of 'design excellence' through the integration of responsible and sustainable design practice with the art of designManages project financial performance, including invoicing and collectionsPrepares collaborative work plan for projects, including consultantsDetermines terms and prepares fee proposals and contracts, coordinating with PIC, legal and other project team leaders, including add service requestsBuilds, updates and executes project schedule assuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with the budgeted labor; recalibrates as necessaryDelivers project on defined budget requirements and maintains accountability to project plan and planned utilization rateNegotiates scope and fees on contracts; monitors for changes in scope to initiate additional service lettersParticipates in marketing interviewsQualifications: Accredited professional degree in Architecture or equivalent in education or experienceArchitectural Registration strongly preferredTypically 15+ years of experienceSustainable design accreditation preferredFirsthand and sustained experience in all phases of architectural design and constructionFamiliarity in the capability and benefits of architectural and performance analytical software such as Revit, AutoCAD, 3D modeling, parametric design and performance analysis software preferredExperience in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and Microsoft Teams preferredAdvanced knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of architectural building systems and QA/QC processAdvanced knowledge of building codes, constructability and accessibility guidelinesSuccessful track record with managing a team and performing duties in a fast-paced environmentStrong presentation skillsStrong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same timeAbility to manage team with diplomatic and collaborative leadership style which puts value on relationships and collaboration, both internal and externalAbility to communicate in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing#LI-KT1If you currently work for HKS, please submit your application via the Internal Careers Portal
