    Well established Reconstructive Surgery practice in Falls Church, VA is looking for a Medical Assistant who understands the dynamics of working in a fast paced medical practice where innovation and compassion intersect

    We are a busy practice that strives to create and maintain a trusting relationship with our patients while working in an extremely fast-paced environment. We are seeking a Medical Assistant with specialized experience in wound care and proficiency in assisting in the operating room as well.     Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records required (eCW a plus)

    Clinical experience in a medical practice with regards to patient care that includes: calling patients with lab results as well as dressing changes/wound care

    Initiative and flexibility to jump in and help when needed, and the drive to learn how each provider works with their patients.

    A positive team player that will help their co-workers at all times is a must in this busy surgery practice

    JOB DUTIES:

    Sterilize medical equipment and maintain them in good working order.

    Maintain adequate supplies in exam rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean.

    Triage patients over the phone.

    -Room patients for providers and assist with dressing changes

    Prep for surgery as well as assist/support the surgical team in the operating room for general anesthesia surgery cases

    Provide Guidance and support to patients and their families, offering education on wound care, post-operative instructions and addressing any concerns within your scope

    Closely track specimens and wound cultures
