Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms ultrasound equipment according infection control lab protocols.
- Review patient medical records verify patient identification prior exams.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments perform sonographic exams protocol.
- Accurately acquire analyze images data optimal diagnostic quality Document findings including limitations complete preliminary reports EHR Communicate urgent abnormal findings provider timely manner Provide compassionate patient care explain procedures ensure comfort Maintain equipment functionality cleanliness report malfunctions Perform daily administrative tasks needed e.g. uploading studies PACS maintaining logs billing studies tracking accreditation data Participate QA IAC accreditation requirements Assist training onboarding sonography students staff Maintain patient privacy confidentiality compliance HIPAA Demonstrate professionalism courtesy respect interactions Participate ongoing professional development continuing education required Collaborate communicate effectively providers team members support clinic operations patient care+
