    Job Summary of the

    Manufacturing Engineer:

    The Manufacturing Engineer will have a significant role in the design and development process of mechanical systems and components.

    Primary responsibilities will include creating accurate and detailed technical drawings, plans, and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software, as well as documenting, designing, and enhancing the manufacturing processes necessary for current and future product designs.

    Job Responsibilities of the

    Manufacturing Engineer:
    Use CAD software to develop detailed 2D and 3D mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and part designs (OnShape, Solidworks, etc).
    Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and other technical documentation to create precise and accurate drawings.
    Ensure compliance with mechanical design and drafting industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
    Transform conceptual models into practical, functional, and producible product drawings.
    Participate in and manage design reviews to identify and resolve any potential issues related to manufacturability, assembly, and performance.
    Thoroughly document existing manufacturing processes, including workflows, equipment used, and time cycles.
    Develop and implement improvements to existing processes to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
    Design and establish new manufacturing processes for upcoming products, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and sustainable.
    Maintain processes, forms, and documentation in accordance with ISO 9000 requirements.
    Create and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings, bill of materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders (ECOs).

    Communicate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement, and other relevant parties as necessary, to ensure smooth product development and implementation.

    Apply lean methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
    Educate and involve employees in continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of ongoing development.
    Lead trainings to identify improvement opportunities and collaboratively implement solutions.

    Education & Experience of the

    Manufacturing Engineer:
    Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline is required.

    3-5 years of experience in design and mechanical engineering, including development and documentation of new products.

    Previous experience in the design and manufacturing of heavy-duty industrial products is highly desired.

    Experience with lean manufacturing tools and utilization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is required.

    Experience with Syteline is a plus.
