    Job Description Job Description We are looking for a qualified IT Technician that will install and maintain computer systems and networks aiming for the highest functionality.

    You will also train users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.

    A successful IT Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, and operating systems.

    The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.


    Compensation:
    $50,000 - $60,000 yearlyResponsibilities: Help our staff solve technology-related problems so they can work efficientlyKeep all technical hardware and systems up to date, including phone systems, printers, computers, operating systems, network systems, and any other technical equipmentEnsure our computers are backed up so all files are saved in case the system crashesImplement new technology, such as desktops and computer hardware, operating systems, software programs, and applicationsAdminister new user accounts, work email addresses, and access levels to new employees to ensure they have everything they need to work efficientlySet up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers, etc.)

    Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards, etc.) to ensure functionalityAssist with the implementation and training of a fully integrated ERP system (Early 2024)Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specificationsWork with our Third Party IT service company in regard to new workstation setup and network issuesProvide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipmentOrganize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their workPerform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problemsMaintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance scheduleIdentify computer or network equipment shortages and place ordersQualifications:
    Expert-level Microsoft Office skillsUnderstands how to create a technical database using Excel spreadsheetsMust have high school diploma or equivalent, associates degree in a tech-related field is highly valued but not requiredSolid understanding of troubleshooting Internet connectivity, network systems, phone systems, and other technological equipment in the officeTwo years of work experience in IT supportProven experience as IT Technician or relevant positionExcellent diagnostic and problem-solving skillsExperience with implementing and maintaining ERP SystemsExcellent communication abilityOutstanding organizational and time-management skillsIn-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networksGood knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principlesCertification as IT Technician will be an advantage (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional)About CompanyScott Manufacturing Solutions, Inc., a leader in designing and producing medium voltage pole- and pad-mounted equipment for the American utility and adjacent industries, provides customers with complete, fully customized power distribution solutions built to the highest quality standards.
