    Insight Global is looking for a Group Leader for the R&D organization with an Oil and Gas client located in Sugar Land, Tx.

    This role is a permanent full time position that requires this person to work onsite M-F during regular working hours 8a-5p and oversee a total team of 6.

    Their direct team will consist of 1 Process Engineer, 2 Process Chemists and 3 operators at their Pilot Plant.

    This role will be responsible for the scale up of the companies current processes, product development and plant operations and will be working heavily with 9 Directors from multiple organizations including Supply Chain, Marketing and R&D.

    It is important this person is able to communicate effectively across multiple groups including C-suite level executives, engineering groups as well as Operating teams.

    This person will be owning the operational safety of the Pilot Plant group , reinforcing the companies safety culture and collaborating with RDE and Plant Operations to ensure a continuous safe environment.

    Bachelors degree in Engineering

    Experience with scale up for chemical product development, chemical process improvement or chemical plant operations

    Masters Degree

    Chemical Industry experience

    Experience working with SAP

    Experience with Process Safety Management

    Experience with Risk Analysis
    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or a related scientific field

    7+ years of total experience within technology scale up, product development processes, plant operations or Process Engineering

    Process Engineering experience

    Ability to manage differing groups within a organization

    Excellent communication skills

    Ability to manage differing internal stakeholder groups and organizations for a common company goal

    2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role

    Ability to story tell to relay company initiatives and goals to their teams
