    Job DescriptionSalary: $16 - $17/hr DOE

    Job Summary:

    Our company is growing rapidly and is searching for experienced candidates for the position of Yard Spotter. To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.

    This position is responsible for moving trucks and trailers in and out of dock doors for loading and unloading.

    The role is 1st Shift working approx. 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday and may include some Saturday support depending on business demands.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the loaders and supervision to move trucks and trailers from one location to another according to door assignments.
    • Check to ensure that each unit is sealed, and that the refrigeration unit is operating correctly and running.
    • Move trucks and trailers from dock to dock as needed to complete the loading process.
    • Ensure the trailer or truck is completely loaded and secured before moving from the dock area.
    • Work with transportation management to ensure the proper equipment is used on the proper route.
    • Work closely with fleet shop management to ensure any repairs are finished before using the equipment.
    • Help keep truck parking yard free of debris and trash.
    • Arrange trucks and trailers on the yard in an orderly and efficient manner.

    Qualifications:

    • 1 year of warehouse or transportation experience preferred.
    • Truck backing experience is required.
    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Must have a good attendance record and good work ethic.
    • Comfortable working in colder temperatures while wearing personal protective equipment and freezer gear.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. (18kgs)
