    We are partnered with a leading manufacturer of critical components for the energy, electronics, and transportation sectors. They specialize in developing high-performance electrographite materials and technical ceramics that power critical applications across energy, electronics, and transportation.

    Job Overview:

    As an R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating development projects under the guidance of your direct supervisor. Your role involves staying updated of scientific advancements and legal regulations relevant to graphite, while also conducting benchmarking exercises on suppliers and competitors. Collaboration with internal and external departments is essential to drive plant-wide improvements and project development initiatives.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Conceive, develop, and refine new products and processes in line with internal guidelines.
    • Apply strong data analysis skills, including DOE and advanced statistical analysis.
    • Provide additional support to facility engineering activities to meet overall facility goals.
    • Organize, coordinate, and manage development engineering activities as directed by the Technical Manager.
    • Attend relevant classes, meetings, and conferences to stay updated on developments in carbon and related products or subjects, as directed by the Technical Manager.
    • Communicate with customers as needed to provide guidance on the use of company products and stay informed about customer requirements.
    • Participate in analyzing and evaluating technical specifications.
    • Pursue patents when appropriate.
    • Facilitate collaborative efforts within the site to achieve project objectives.

    Qualification and Education:

    • Master's degree in Chemical or Material Science Engineering, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in product or process engineering within a similar industry.
    • Collaborate with customers and suppliers as required.
    • Develop project budgets as necessary.
    • Utilize existing internal and external graphite knowledge effectively.
    • Apply strong statistical and analytical principles to data analysis and project reporting.
    • Contact resources both internal and external to the group, including technical experts, laboratories, and universities.
    • Maintain research and development project organization, analysis, and project reports as directed.
    • Demonstrate strong project management and problem-solving skills.
    • Work with lab technicians in coordination with the Quality Manager.
    • Possess moderate mechanical skills, which are a plus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Office.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally.
