Vision IT is hiring a Network Administrator/Analyst to join our team in Sierra Vista, Arizona at Fort Huachuca. This position will support the RCC-CONUS, which provides a cutting-edge technology environment. An active Secret clearance, or US citizenship with the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance is required.


    Description:

    The Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the organization's Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure and related systems are well maintained and operate reliably and securely.

    This role will perform regular systems and security monitoring, provisioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

    The Intermediate Network Administrator will perform administration, operations, maintenance, and support of WAN infrastructure, routers, firewalls, Ethernet switches and related systems.

    They are also responsible for following relevant processes, procedures, and standards.

    Additionally, the Intermediate Network Administrator will provide technical support related to assigned systems within their organization and to outside customers as needed.

    They also handle patches and upgrades to ensure that systems are maximally efficient, effective, and secure.


    Required skills:
    Network device configuration fundamentals.
    Network troubleshooting fundamentals.
    IPv4 Subnetting.
    IPv4 addressing and address schema.
    Basic network services such as SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LDAP.
    Cybersecurity fundamentals.
    IT Industry terminology.
    IT troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
    Effective oral and written communication


    Desired skills:
    Cisco router/switch/firewall
    Juniper router/switch/firewall
    Network layer 3 configuration
    Network layer 3 troubleshooting
    BGP routing protocol
    OSPF routing protocol
    Firewall administration (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto)
    VPN systems and RAVPN

    IT Production network experience Minimum Education & Experience:
    High School Diploma
    Minimum of three (3) of years of direct, relevant professional work experience.
    Security+ certification
    OR

    Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field from a nationally accredited educational institution.

    Minimum of two (2) years of direct, relevant professional work experience.
    Security+ certification
    OR

    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field from a nationally accredited educational institution.


    Security+ certification Other Requirements:
    MUST possess a DoD interim Secret Clearance prior to employment.
    MUST participate in a 24 x 7 shift rotation.
    Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
    Execute tasks independently and work as a team
