    POSITION SUMMARY
    Under the direction of the COO, the Sr. Packaging Engineer coordinates, implements, and manages the engineering function.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    Review, plan, research and communicate toward potential customer projects.
    Manage and implement customer projects.
    Review, plan, research, and communicate toward potential internal projects.

    Liaise with Sales, Operations, and other functions to carry out project tasks and meet milestones to ensure our products meet time, cost and performance requirements.

    Drive analytical modeling and validation to stretch boundaries of new product design constraints and enhance new product development quality.
    Coach, guide, and develop direct reports, create meaningful feedback discussions that support and enhance employee success.
    Using recognized project-management skills, lead cross-functional teams towards the goal of on time, cost and quality successful product introduction.
    Knowledgeable with applicable safety standards and company quality procedures in order to ensure product conformity and compliance.
    Interface and visit suppliers, customers, and sub vendors.

    Learn strengths and weaknesses of the current supplier base to understand and drive the choice of the optimum supplier for each project assign.

    Estimated travel = 10-15%
    EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (chemistry, packaging engineering, process engineering, etc.).
    5-7 years of experience in both the manufacturing and customer contact environments.
    Experience with job/product costing and CAR/ROI analysis.
    Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
    Knowledge of Pressure-Sensitive Label industry preferred.
