    Pickily is looking for part time (roughly 25-35 hours per week) staff interested in contributing in a variety of roles including product production, working farmers markets, administrative projects, making deliveries and more.

    Starts at $16-$20 per hour depending on experience and fit.

    This will be part time to start but could very well grow into full-time, especially in the busy summer months.


    ABOUT PICKILY
    Pickily is a 5 year old packaged foods startup based in Coventry, RI.

    We produce a line of refrigerated pickled vegetables including Pickily Cukes, Red Onion, Beets, Brussels Sprouts, Sweet Peppers, Jalapeños and more.

    We sell at farmers markets, grocers and retailers throughout New England.

    We expect rapid growth over the coming years and hope to find new team members that can grow with the company.

    Some job functions must adhere to a firm schedule but others are flexible and could be planned around your availability.


    ROLES

    Product Production Staff: This is our most immediate need. Responsible for all the prep, processing, cooking, packaging and cleanup that goes into the manufacturing process. Somewhat flexible schedule.


    Farmers Market Attendant:
    In the market season we will have a need for weekend farmers market attendants.

    You would be responsible for picking up equipment and product in Coventry RI, driving to and from the market, setting up and breaking down the market tent and display, answering customer questions about the product, making retail transactions, and enthusiastically representing Pickily to our customers.


    Other:
    We're growing quickly and would like to utilize our staff on many fronts.

    Looking for people that can pitch in on various other jobs including administrative work, customer service, marketing, making deliveries, cleaning and whatever other tasks need doing.


    REQUIREMENTS

    Minimum requirements:

    • Happy, friendly, respectful and energetic demeanor (Be nice to work with)
    • Reliability (I really need people that I can count on)
    • Physically capable of spending 8 hour shifts on your feet and ability to routinely and safely lift 25 50lbs

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Experience working in a commercial kitchen.
    Knife skills, food prep, cleanup, etc

    • Experience in customer facing roles in food/bev/retail/hospitality or other relevant background
    • Interest and enthusiasm about local and healthy food.
    • Eagerness to get to know and join the local food community
    • Willingness to contribute in a variety of ways (production, markets, admin, deliveries, marketing, cleaning, etc)
    • Reliable transportation
