    Description

    Your Future Role & Job Purpose:

    The position holder shall ensure cost-efficient and safe operation of all equipment and assets related to the Marine Operation Department (Dry docks, Load out Barge, and Ship-lift and transfer system).

    Leads the day-to-day marine operations related to said equipment and assets as assigned by the Marines Operation managers. Manage asset reliability/availability risks that could adversely affect the business.

    Coordinate with Asset Management team for the day-to-day preventive maintenance activities, report any breakdown failure, and recommend measures to prevent failures reoccurrence.

    Lead, train, and develop new joining technicians and other operation team members to fulfill marine operations tasks. Comply with IMI Policies & Procedures and values.


    Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:

    Key Accountabilities:
    Assists in mechanical / electrical marine jobs related to marine operations.

    Get involved in marine operations in different departmental divisions.

    Assist and supervise teams on loadout barge, dry docks, ship lift, and other marine activities.

    Assuring a safe effective work within the yard and marine operations assets.


    Coordinate with the different IMI sections for any requirements to ensure work activities are done safely and environmentally friendly with zero tolerance.

    Ensure participation in preparation, alignment, and transfer of marine operation equipment and tools.

    Planning and coordinating for any marine activities of all zones as per requirements, docking plans to ensure safe operation.

    Assists in Preparation of diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports to marine operations team and make recommendations for improvements.


    Follow the mechanical marine preventive/predictive maintenance plans to ensure these are in full alignment with the reliability plans and targets.


    Participates in the final check out of new installations, this includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specifications.

    Communicate regularly with the maintenance team to report any deficiencies and to follow up routine maintenance tasks.

    Assist maintenance team in troubleshooting any deficiency and relative blueprint drawings reading.

    Ensure the scope of work defined by the management is fulfilled as per company procedures and policies.

    Who we are looking for:

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent.

    Experience:

    3-9 years of relevant experience. It is a plus if having experience in shipyards, ports and working onboard ships or rigs.

    Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):

    Saudi National.

    It is a plus to have a Certificate of Competency (COC) as a marine engineering officer of the watch (OOW).


    Basic STCW Certifications:
    Personal Safety and Social Responsibility

    Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting

    Personal Survival Technique

    Elementary First Aid

    Proficiency in Designated Security Duties

    It is a plus to have a working knowledge of OSHA / NEBOSH and ISO standards and practices.

    Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

    Understanding of Health and Safety practices.

    Excellent team working skills.

    Excellent Computer Skills in MS Office.


    Languages:
    English (Mandatory), Arabic / Others (desirable)
