    About the position: This is an amazing opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer to serve as a member of a high performing, dynamic executive leadership team within an outstanding organization at a key time in its history, and to impact the future of this vibrant healthcare and senior living organization and the communities it serves.
    • The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of our client's leadership team and reports directly to the President/CEO. The CFO is responsible for the development, interpretation, coordination, and administration of policies for financial management, including planning, budgeting, capital formation, risk management, and operations.
    • The CFO directs strategic and operational financial planning, budgeting process, accounting and finance practices, financial risk assessment, forecasting and variance analysis; and is in charge of formulating, negotiating and executing parent and project level bond and bank financing, as well as any acquisitions, partnering or merger events. In this role, the CFO works closely with the organization's investment bankers, capital sources and outside attorneys in addition to personnel.
    • The CFO leads the development and implementation of financial reporting and analysis, ensuring that policies and procedures are consistent and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. He/she delivers timely, accurate, and reliable financial information to decision makers through efficient and effective financial systems and business processes, fosters effective stewardship of the finance function, and safeguards fiscal integrity through effective internal controls.


    Requirements

    • Master's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
    • Certified Public Accountant is desirable, but not required.
    • This position requires 15+ years of experience with 10+ in a leadership role in financial management, likely gained within a within a healthcare provider organization / health system (i.e., acute care, post-acute care, long term care, LTAC, home health).
    • Experience with affordable housing is desirable given service lines.
    • Proven experience building an outstanding finance function and team, as well as helping to instill tools, processes and culture supporting system-wide integration and accountable financial stewardship.
    • Strong knowledge of financial accounting, auditing methods, and financial systems management.
    • Knowledge and experience in treasury and capital market activities, including debt issuance, banking relationships, and rating agency interactions.
    • Track record in healthcare finance, including hospital reimbursement (i.e., Medicaid, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Commercial), revenue cycle management, managed care contracting, financial planning and analysis, operational finance, and compliance is strongly preferred.
    • Senior leadership experience in multi-site organization with diverse business lines is strongly preferred.
    • Must have experience partnering with a non-profit Board and presenting complex financial information at an executive level.
    • Prior experience in an academic medical and / or research setting is desirable.
