- Manage Lean Six Sigma projects assigned by the corporate office, plants, or their representatives.
- Identify processes, or engage in processes identified by others, and use Lean Six Sigma and related methodologies to systematically drive improvement and improve overall business efficiency.
- Work with all training orgs to coordinate ongoing Lean Six Sigma initiatives and related training programs.
- Function as front-line leadership to execute projects for the Niagara LSS program. Coordinate assigned CI Analysts and plant resources as necessary to achieve multi-disciplinary projects.
- Function as the technical expert.
- Identify knowledge and skill gaps company-wide that are related to systematic problem solving.
- Maintain clear documentation for the purpose of best-practice sharing in accordance with methodologies decided by the LSS Manager.
- Maintain a project database and ensures no wasteful overlaps exist.
- Conduct onsite analysis and data collection for CI projects / initiatives.
- Study processes affecting manufacturing using Lean/Six Sigma methodology to understand and critique them, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Drive Key Projects as identified by the LSS Manager / CI Steering Committee.
- Promote and support Lean/Six Sigma thinking and concept implementation amongst Plants and HQ Teams
- Use Lean Six Sigma and LSS projects as a people-development vehicle. Provide peer-coaching and exposure such that LSS Analysts, and Plant CI Managers are prepared for promotion or lateral movement into subsequent roles.
- Identify and support policy initiatives out of related workgroups, supporting their implementations and streamlining work to improve their efficiency.
- Utilize Power BI and other software systems available to generate pertinent reports and data needed to make decisions at the plant level.
- Present key findings in a high-level format to Executives, LSS Management, or related steering committees for review.
- Requires up to 50% Travel

Continuous Improvement Engineer IThe Continuous Improvement Engineer I role supports all aspects of Niagara's efforts to implement Lean Six Sigma, Innovative Continuous excellence, and related programs. This individual drives projects within the Lean Six Sigma umbrella, to create a culture of change agents who implement efficient, effective, and sustainable processes through continuous improvement efforts and training.
