- Designs & coordinates onsite engineering & inspection activities including electrical, structural, mechanical & disciplines in ensuring the meeting of building code requirements, operational & security needs of diplomatic & representational spaces.
- Provides authoritative interpretation of guidelines & practices applied in the design & construction of new facilities & in the restoration & alteration of existing facilities.
- Serves as COR & ensures timely contract awards & effective contract administration, & oversight.
- Directs completion of documentation for determining engineering adequacy & the completion of & acceptance of work needed to authorize payment to vendors.
- Coordinates with Realty Specialists, Space Planners & other specialists to ensure compliance with space utilization policies throughout a project.
- Provides authoritative expertise & advice for RPM concerning program planning & policy making functions that cover a broad range of engineering & architectural projects.

This interdisciplinary position is located in the Design and Construction Division, Office of Real Property Management, DAS for Operations, Bureau of Administration (A/OPR/RPM/DC), in the U.S. Department of State (DOS). The position serves as a senior Project and Construction Manager for the Division in directing its multidisciplinary engineering and architectural functions and activities.
