    Description

    Job Opportunity

    Role Overview: Directly engage with residents, providing acceptance, warmth, and empathy. Tailor activity programs to align with the interests, strengths, and needs of the tenants, fostering an environment of support and positivity.

    Work Relationships:

    • Supervised by: Director
    • Collaborate with: Housing Coordinator, Transportation, Housekeeping, Clinical Nurse Supervisor, culinary servers/housekeepers, caregivers, nurses, Volunteer Coordinator
    • Interact with: Visitors, Families, Volunteers, External Activity Providers

    Work Schedule: 64 hours per pay period, with flexibility for evenings and weekends if required, mainly during standard business hours.

    Key Requirements: Minimum qualifications for the position.

    • Education and Training
      • High school diploma or equivalent
      • Basic activity course completion (willingness to undergo training)
    • Experience: Previous experience with seniors is favorable.
    • Personal Qualities:
      • Participate in ongoing activity training
      • Maintain good physical and mental well-being
      • Demonstrate an outgoing, cheerful demeanor
      • Possess effective time management skills
      • Exhibit strong communication abilities
      • Collaborate effectively with team members
      • Show self-motivation and the ability to work independently
      • Contribute to a welcoming, home-like atmosphere
    • Job Knowledge:
      • Understanding of various activities and awareness of tenant limitations
      • Musical or performance skills are beneficial
      • Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions
      • Clear verbal communication with residents of diverse abilities
      • Demonstrate creativity in planning and problem-solving
      • Capable of preparing, executing, and assessing activities
      • Exhibit professionalism in phone communication
      • Strong record-keeping capabilities
