    Position Overview:


    Our client is seeking a qualified individual to fill a crucial role responsible for driving process enhancements, spearheading project development, and collaborating with operations to achieve safety, environmental, quality, and productivity objectives.

    This role entails ensuring plant operations adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies while prioritizing environmental stewardship.

    Reporting directly to the Process Improvement Lead within the Technology and Improvement department, the successful candidate will contribute to our client's mission.

    The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $120,000, with competitive benefits aimed at supporting employees and their families.

    Role and Responsibilities The selected candidate will be tasked with:


    • Supporting plant personnel in their efforts to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and production.
    • Utilizing engineering software like SYSCAD and Pipe-Flo Advantage to conduct process modeling and flow calculations.
    • Serving as a process improvement engineer within capital improvement project teams, guiding projects from conceptualization to implementation.
    • Employing innovative problem-solving techniques to drive improvements in safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and production.
    • Collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data to draw informed conclusions and make data-driven decisions, even in the face of unknown variables.
    • Demonstrating sound technical judgment in problem resolution and seeking guidance from supervisors when necessary.
    • Drafting Software Change Proposals for new or modified processes, designing optimized control strategies for safe and cost-efficient operation, and creating clear and effective control graphics and alarm strategies.
    • Enhancing process stability through control loop optimization and other process enhancements, utilizing tools like Plant Triage/Expertune for routine plant controller monitoring.
    • Conducting technical studies and experiments to identify improvements aligned with plant and area objectives.
    • Exhibiting clear written and oral communication skills when interacting with peers, management, and customers.
    • Participating in Process Hazard Analysis as required and providing support to plant and R&D personnel.
    • Staying abreast of advancements in quality control and process engineering through engagement with educational institutions, professional societies, and industry publications.
    • Fostering a culture of workplace safety where safety is paramount to all activities.

    Qualifications:
    The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Chemical Engineering, with salary commensurate with relevant experience.

    Preferred qualifications include a comprehensive understanding of plant operations, equipment, and processes, along with proficiency in Process modeling software such as SYSCAD, Aspen, and ChemCad.

    Advanced skills in Python for Machine Learning and Data Science, MATLAB, Plant Triage/Expertune Loop Tuning, SEEQ, Pipe-Flo Advantage, and Foxboro/Honeywell DCS are also desirable.

    Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication, and human relations skills are essential for success in this role.
