    • Summarize research findings, including interpreting data and writing technical reports
    • Prepare strategic health economic analyses to evaluate potential benefits and harms of policies and programs.
    • Prepare clear, concise, and effective correspondence and reports.
    • Prepare and make oral presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Analyze and evaluate policies, procedures, public information, local and state lawmaking processes and other information.
    • Describe the impact of policy on public health and health and racial equity.
    • Work with partners and policy makers to recommend policies that are evidence-based (or are innovative and/or promising and include evaluation plans) that address public health issues.
    • Conduct independent research and develop health impact analyses.
    • Project consequences of proposed actions and formulate recommendations.
    • Analyze problems and identify alternative solutions
    • Provide support (e.g., information sharing and technical assistance) to policy leads working in local organizations and, upon request, participate in policy initiatives including those that include multiple organizations.
    • Work effectively with others to achieve team, department, and countywide goals.
    • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including other employees, public and private officials, community groups, and the public.
    • Utilize various personal computer (PC) applications at an advanced level.
    • Interpret and explain policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
    • Effectively work with persons from diverse backgrounds including age, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, socioeconomic status, physical characteristics, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, veteran status, health status, genetic predisposition, political belief or mental or physical ability.
    • Other Special Requirements: Is prepared to serve in a position under emergency incident command structure.
