    ** Senior Planner Buyer - Henderson, CO Job**

    **Position Summary**

    Execute and coordinate material/service procurement and fulfillment duties for complex categories/projects. Create/execute material/service supply risk management plan and procurement strategy to achieve cost, schedule, and quality goals. Achieve inventory, delivery scheduling coordination, supplier management, and process improvement objectives. Plan/develop material fulfillment methods. Provide material/services procurement planning leadership for complex projects. Lead and decide discrepancy resolution solutions and ensure resolutions are followed through.

    **Essential Responsibilities**

    PROCUREMENT PROCESS MANAGEMENT: Expert in end-to-end Supply Chain concepts and processes, from Work Order (WO) review through all aspects of procurement processing in ERP.

    BUSINESS PARTNER RELATIONSHIPS: Work with BU for early visibility into material/services and communicate sourcing and category strategy effectively. Lead cross functional teams for specific procurement events. Ensure BU understands supply risk strategy for materials, equipment, and services. Manage material delivery strategies, expediting, and supplier returns. Lead discrepancy resolution. Thorough understanding of use, form, fit, and function of materials. Train BU/SC partners on Supply Chain processes as needed.

    MATERIALS/SERVICES COORDINATION: Ensure material/service fulfillment requirements are met through Supply Chain processes. Ensure flow of demand to inventory, master agreements, and other purchase transactions are handled correctly. Execute POs accurately and in a timely manner.

    SOURCING STRATEGY & PRACTICE: Assist Sourcing in determining category strategy in collaboration with BU and category teams; maintain deep understanding of existing strategy and advises on new strategies. Ensure adherence to sourcing best practices, policies, and procedures. Drive demand to existing master agreements when possible. Procure and negotiate materials/services acquisition for large projects.

    BIDDING/AWARD PROCESS: Lead RFX bid packages for regional category buys and small projects, according to existing Sourcing Category Strategy. Lead bid evaluation, analysis, and supplier selection. Identify spend/savings opportunities with category manager and develop agreements with key suppliers. Analyze and interpret statistical data.

    CONTRACTING: Partner with BU for contract review, analysis, and supplier performance/compliance tracking. Represent company interests during negotiations with suppliers/contractors. Resolve/escalate issues to Category Manager and escalate legal exceptions to General Counsel.

    SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIPS: Develop supplier relationships and respond to questions promptly. Use reporting tools and analysis for material delivery, disposition, and returns. Monitor supplier activities and work with category manager to improve supplier relationship. May contribute to formal supplier performance meetings.

    MENTORING: Mentor junior level Planner Buyers on development of procurement support skills and capability.

    **Minimum Requirements**

    Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, technical/analytical field, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Five years of purchasing, logistics, or other relevant supply chain experience.

    Advanced contract knowledge, negotiation, and procurement planning skills required.

    Utility operations experience preferred.

    Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent strongly preferred.

    Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

    Up to 10% travel; drivers license required.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and **ERP systems** necessary.
