    An excellent opportunity awaits to become part of a leading institution in Neurosurgery. The Ayer Neuroscience Institute at Hartford HealthCare is seeking a skilled Neurosurgery Physician Assistant/APRN to join the Advanced Practice team at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.

    As part of the team, you will work collaboratively with attending neurosurgeons and APPs to deliver specialized care to neurosurgical patients across various cases.

    You'll be responsible for managing neurosurgical spine and brain patients, conducting consultations, and assisting in procedures.


    Job details:
    • Managing neurosurgical spine and brain patients on the floor and ICU setting.
    • Performing intake H&PEs, progress notes, consultations, pre- and post-operative care, and discharges.
    • Providing neurosurgical consultations in the hospital and in the Emergency Dept.
    • Assisting attending neurosurgeon with procedures, including emergencies.
    • Working shifts from 6am-7:00pm or 6pm-7:00am, totaling 3 shifts per week.

    Qualifications
    Job requirements:

    BE/BC NCCPA certified and CT licensed Physician Assistant or APRN with First Assist experience.

    This role involves providing continuous inpatient neurosurgical coverage, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
