    The Patient Account Rep - DME/Customer Service is responsible for answering phone calls and processing electronic orders for various Community Health Network physicians for patients that are in need of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).

    This role will include verifying patient insurance benefits, requesting prior authorizations, reviewing and creating patient records in the appropriate EMR system, qualifying equipment provided based on insurance requirements, creating sales orders and communicating with dispatch regarding delivery.

    This position will be responsible providing excellent customer service to patients. This role will require an on-call rotation for patient emergency needs and requests. The position does have the possibility to be remote for qualified team members.


    Your exceptional Skills and Qualifications


    • Complies with applicable state/federal laws and the program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state and government health plans
    • Ensures confidentiality of patient records
    • Meets productivity standards designated by the department
    • Meets QA standards designated by the department
    • Two or more recent years of experience in healthcare customer service and/or billing required
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Previous experience with Brightree Billing EMR preferred
    • Previous DME experience preferred
    • Current knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial insurance required
    • Two or more recent years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite required
    • Testing for specific job functions may be required for consideration of this position
