    Are you a passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired looking for a rewarding opportunity to empower students in their educational journey? We're seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in Dalton, Georgia, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade

    Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

    Location:

    • Dalton, GA (Onsite)

    Pay:
    $45/HR, Weekly Pay with Benefits

    Duration:
    Full-Time, Renewable Annually

    Hours:
    Full-Time, K-12, Itinerant

    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments, including braille literacy, orientation and mobility skills, and assistive technology.
    • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet students' unique needs.
    • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' visual functioning and educational needs.
    • Provide direct instruction and support in the classroom, resource room, and other educational settings as needed.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and develop educational goals.
    • Provide training and support to educational staff and parents on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or master's degree in Education or related field.
    • Valid teaching license with endorsement or certification in Visual Impairments.
    • Previous experience working as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired preferred.
    • Knowledge of braille literacy, orientation and mobility techniques, and assistive technology.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and problemsolving skills.
    • Flexibility and adaptability to work with students of diverse ages and abilities.
