    Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Project Engineer contract opening with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Warren, MI.

    SUMMARY:

    Launch Safety support across various plants. This individual will understand the launch process in global operations with a vision for new and innovative approaches and is accountable for providing Workplace Safety technical and regulatory advice and coaching to site/functional operations.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • The Design-In Safety Lead is a technical position responsible for supporting site implementation of the Workplace Safety System.
    • Weekly and Monthly meeting and Quarterly touchpoints
    • Demonstrates skills in cross functional team collaboration, data driven decisions and innovation.
    • Drive and manage projects that return people home safely
    • Proactively identify potential Serious Incidents and Fatalities (SIF) in new technologies, modified assets, and systems.
    • Shape the future of how Design-in Safety is implemented within the company, and our strategic partners.
    • Developing and educating site employees to drive Workplace Safety cultural transformation; and
    • Develops partnerships with key site personnel at Manufacturing and Non-Manufacturing sites globally.
    • Develops valuable strategic direction that drives successful execution of Global Workplace Safety Strategy Deployment at the site/regional level.
    • Partners with their peers to share and demonstrate good practices across the enterprise, while supporting the site operational leadership.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors Degree MANADATORY
    • Prior experience in manufacturing or safety
    • Preferred Work Schedule: M-F 8hrs daily (8am-4:30) OT anticipated in the future (as required)
