    Job Summary

    The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and tracking Security Forces incident reports, tickets, barments, driving records, revocations, and suspenses using the Security Forces Management Information System (SFMIS). They will also maintain controlled items, control logs, files, accountability for tickets, and accident/incident reports that may be classified.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations. Receives and answers routine telephone inquiries or refers to appropriate staff.
    • Serves as the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Site Security Manager. Manages installation entry policy and procedures consistent with DoD, Air Force and local directives.

    Requirements

    1. Must complete initial online questionnaire and additional assessment(s).

    11. Typing and computer operation is performed, however, a qualified typist is not required.

    Qualifications

    In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, to include the Group Coverage Qualification Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions for the GS Security Clerical and Assistance Series 0086.

    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

    Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-04, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes:

    • Knowledge of standardized security methods, rules, regulations, and principles to provide support to security specialists in security administration;
    • and perform nonstandard security assignments and resolve recurring problems.
    • Knowledge of security procedures pertaining to handling and disposing of classified material, such as classification markings, accountability and control, declassification, and destruction procedures.

    OR EDUCATION

    Applicants must have successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

    OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

    A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

    • Knowledge of basic security processes and procedures.
    • Knowledge of one or more automated databases associated with a specific security function to support office and security operations and produce a variety of documents and reports.
    • Knowledge of general clerical and office functions and procedures, as well as the basic rules of grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and standard abbreviations.
    • Ability to plan and organize work, follow instructions, and accomplish multiple ongoing projects.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
