    Description


    Performs a variety of jobs in collaboration with the Quality & Risk teams including, but not limited to project management, data analysis, and safety event review.

    Works cooperatively with team to identify, coordinate, and support process and quality improvement initiatives through data discovery and utilization of project management principles.

    Supports established hospital policies and procedures.


    Collaborates with Director of Quality, Director of Risk & Patient Safety, and Administration on an ongoing basis to identify and prioritize projects and critical data needs.

    Manages the gathering, compiling, and assessment of quality improvement data and creates monthly dashboards/scorecards for dissemination to clinical leadership.
    Provide analysis of complex healthcare data.

    Partners with Director of Risk to manage patient safety occurrences, including development of reports from occurrences, including development of reports from occurrence databases, analysis of data and identification of trends, and dissemination of information to operational areas.

    Understands the Quality metrics as defined by quality and regulatory governing bodies (ie CMS, DNV, CHA, HHS, AHRQ) in order to created meaningful reports to drive business results.

    Assess Quality initiatives and develop timeline for execution on initiatives.

    Partners with other organizational departments, such as IT, to create complex quality reports that support clinical staff and leaders across the organization.

    Participate and assist in continuous process improvements. Assess Quality reported data, connect with and partners on improvement initiatives.
    Assists with multiple Data platforms including Qualaris.
    Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
    Keeps abreast of new and revised regulatory agency requirements, with additional emphasis on new and evolving electronic quality reporting. Communicates these developments to the team, and collaborates on hospital's response to these changes.
    Extrapolates, analyzes and converts data into useful business intelligence using a variety of mediums and graphical displays.
    Maintains project documentation and ensures adherence to quality and compliance standards for project deliverables.
    Works closely with Quality team on the HTP project.
    Assists with audits, data submission and review, as well as keep up dashboards related to HTP.
    Works on other Quality projects such as HQIP, Leapfrog and other state and federal initiatives.
    A Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Economics, Health Economics, or closely related analytic/ business degree is required.
    3+ years' experience with database design and implementation; experience with data analysis required.
    Strong numeric, analytic, problem solving and troubleshooting skills;

    Technical training or expertise with data modeling, data mining and segmentation techniques; ability to combine data from different sources and formats.
