- Responsible for all prior authorizations for treatment across every discipline
- Work with families and providers internally to obtain documentation needed for authorizations
- Work closely with scheduling and internal teams to identify need for authorization, hours, and executes process for specific carrier, and follow through to completion (clear for reimbursement)
- Ensure no client receives services without valid authorization in place
- Serve as the primary contact between insurance carriers and Cortica for authorization management to include denials, appeals, clerical errors, database errors, and any other issues inhibiting access to treatment
- Manage Authorization Trackers
- Handle inbound calls and emails from patients regarding questions on their authorizations
- You have excellent organizational and task management skills.
- You are an effective communicator with the ability to present information in a clear, concise manner.
- You enjoy solving problems and identifying trends.
- You have a strong understanding of insurance billing and CPT coding.
- You have 2+ years of healthcare billing experience.
