We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations and performance of residential and commercial properties in Newport News, Virginia.
This Contract-to-permanent position involves managing tenant relationships, coordinating vendors, and ensuring properties meet company standards and comply with local regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property management and a proven ability to maintain financial and operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet quality standards.
- Manage tenant relationships by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and fostering positive communication.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to schedule and oversee maintenance, repairs, and property improvements.
- Administer lease agreements, including renewals, terminations, and compliance with legal and company policies.
- Monitor property performance by analyzing financial data and ensuring budgetary goals are met.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance needs or compliance issues.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations and company policies for all managed properties.
- Develop strategies to maximize asset performance and enhance tenant satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed reports on property operations and financial outcomes for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align property management goals with overall business objectives.
- A background check will be required for this role
- Proven experience in residential or commercial property management.
- Strong knowledge of property management principles, including lease administration and tenant relations.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors, contractors, and tenants to ensure smooth operations.
- Familiarity with local regulations and compliance standards related to property management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple properties.
- Proficient in financial analysis and budget management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive tenant and stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
