    Job Description




    SUMMARY:
    The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing skilled nursing care.

    Accountable for coordinating the patient's care plan by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions leading to desired outcomes.

    This role operates under the supervision of the designated nurse executive, following the Nursing Practice Act guidelines, and adhering to Valley Children's Hospital policies.


    Valley Children's NICU delivers a wide range of services for critically ill newborns to enhance their quality of life.

    The main Hospital campus in Madera offers Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) support, the highest level of care for neonates and infants.

    Valley Children's also maintains a
    network of NICUs across Central California, enabling families with critically ill infants to access care closer to home during their entire treatment period.


    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
    A) Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program.

    BSN degree is highly preferred; B) Valid California Registered Nurse license (RN); C) Specific Life Support Certifications (details below); and D) Relevant experience aligned with the Clinical Ladder criteria.

    Bilingual proficiency is a plus.

    Life Support Certifications mandatory: 1) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days and 2) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of joining or transferring to the role


    POSITION DETAILS:
    Full-time role, 69 hours per pay period, with various shift options available
