    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    ActBlue is looking for a current undergraduate student who is passionate about politics, advocacy, and our work of helping small-dollar donors make an impact to join our internship program We aim to help our interns gain knowledge, skills, and abilities that will serve them professionally going forward. Interns will receive training and mentorship in planning and executing activities and assignments. Interns have access to a team and direct manager to support work and goals.

    We are actively recruiting an intern for our User Experience (UX) team. As a UX Intern, you will participate in the design process, research efforts, team activities, and collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, outreach, and data science.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Support day-to-day UX efforts in close partnership with senior designers working on growth initiatives, supporter engagement, digital forms, and user flows
    • Participate in team design critiques by presenting work and providing thoughtful feedback on projects others are working on
    • Interact with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and support the creation of innovative design solutions
    • Interact with our marketing and brand team supporting the evolution of our Blueprint design system
    • Grow your UX research experience and skills
    • Participate in the overall activity of the product design team

    WHAT YOU BRING:

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a focus/coursework in computer science, design, human computer interaction, user-centered design, or other relevant art/design programs
    • Excellent organization and communication skills
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
    • Strong commitment to ActBlue's mission
    • Availability to work 40 hours per week from June 3, 2024, to August 16th, 2024

    LOCATION AND COMPENSATION:

    This posting is for a temporary paid internship ($20 per hour). Interns over the age of 21 have the option of opting into ActBlue's 401k program. ActBlue is equipped to have you onboard and work remotely from your home if you are hired for this role.ActBlue is currently authorized to support remote hourly employees in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington D.C., and Wisconsin.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
    • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
