    Integrity Learning Center is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Intern to join our growing team In this position, interns would implement programs in a 1:1 teaching format for children with developmental disorders. The ideal candidate will play a key part in the success of multiple learners every day by helping them grow into their full potential through implementing behavior intervention plans, promoting positive behavior change, assisting with daily self-help skills, & fostering the development of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

    This is a highly educational opportunity for any student looking to learn more about the field of ABA as it relates to children on the Autism spectrum. In addition to this being a paid internship, we also offer the opportunity for you to gain your RBT certification during your time with the company. This certification remains with you even after your internship is completed and will allow you to pursue many employment opportunities during school breaks as you pursue your degree.

    Our ideal candidate is:

    • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college program
      • Majoring in a related field such as: Psychology, ABA, Education, Early Childhood, Counseling, Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy
    • Able to provide a 2 consecutive semester commitment (ex. summer and fall)
    • Passionate about helping others, especially children
    • Available for 20+ hours per week
    • Very dependable
    • Has experience working with children

    -Responsibilities-

    Implementation of Play- Based ABA Therapy:

    • Demonstrate a commitment to the values of Integrity Learning Center daily & display good judgment and decision-making skills
    • Provide 1:1 direct instruction based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis for children with ASD
    • Execute acquisition & mastered programs prescribed by the client's treatment team
    • Engage client in meaningful play during breaks. Keeping breaks to an appropriate length based on the client's Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP)
    • Capture, contrive, & engage client in natural environment training & incidental teaching opportunities
    • Assists in client programming as instructed by the clinical assistant or supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

    Data Collection

    • Maintain data collection in a detailed, accurate, consistent & timely manner
    • Take & maintain detailed behavior notes, documentation, behavioral data, etc.
    • Complete Progress notes daily & accurately at time of therapy appointment

    Behavior Intervention

    • Implement appropriate behavior management techniques as prescribed by the client's behavior intervention plan (BIP)

    Adherence to Values & Policies:

    • Uses social media responsibly
    • Stay current on CPR training & quality standards for crisis management techniques
    • Exercise confidentiality & discretion pertaining to the work environment & strictly maintain all HIPAA requirements
    • Adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Guidelines for Responsible Conduct

    Other Duties

    • Maintain a clean & organized therapy environment
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the BCBA or management team
    • Report to therapy appointments on time & communicate call outs as soon as possible
    • Maintain effective & professional communication with team members, management & parents

    -Qualifications-

    RBT Certification

    • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification

    Education:

    • Minimum of a high school diploma

    Experience:

    • Previous experience working with individuals with ASD or developmental disorders preferred.
    • Must be great with kids & very dependable
    • Familiarity with play-based ABA therapy approaches is a plus.

    • Ability to demonstrate empathy, compassion, & patience in therapeutic interactions
    • Demonstrate strong organizational skills
    • Exercises good judgment at all times
    • Creative and Adaptable to dynamic situations
    • Self-Motivated and energetic
    • Valid Driver's License
