We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Machinist to join our client's team. As a Journeyman Machinist at Northend Gear and Machine, you will be responsible for crafting machined parts from various materials based on mechanical drawings. This role will involve operating both manual and CNC machines to produce precision components.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Operate manual and CNC lathes and mills with minimal supervision.
2. Utilize precision measuring equipment tools to take accurate measurements.
3. Proficiently read and interpret engineering drawings.
4. Demonstrate strong mathematical and analytical abilities, including Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.
5. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to understand and create instructions in English.
6. Adhere to all company and common-sense safety policies, using required personal protective equipment as necessary.
7. Contribute to a collaborative team environment by anticipating the needs of co-workers, maintaining a positive attitude, and actively seeking opportunities for organizational improvement.

Desired Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of CNC G&M Code preferred.
2. Familiarity with Mazatrol is a plus.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the properties of metal and materials.
4. Three or more years of documented machinist experience.
5. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
6. Proficiency in working in a team-based environment and achieving common goals.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to maintaining professionalism in the workplace.
