WDS is hiring a Forklift Operator for our warehouse in Virginia Beach

The Forklift Operator safely and efficiently operates all forms of operations machinery including but not limited to: forklifts, reach-lifts and electric pallet jacks.

This is a dynamic and fast-paced, physical position that will keep you moving all day long as you ready freight for customers. The right candidate will value safety above all as you efficiently operate all forms of machinery, like sit-down and stand-up forklifts, reach-lifts, single/doubles, clamp, and electric pallet jacks. **Responsibilities:**

Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Picks and labels loose cartons

Provides daily preventative maintenance checks on equipment as required

Escalates equipment mechanical issues to Lead Equipment Operator

Unloads/Loads freight in a safe and effective manner

Accurately verifies freight for quality and quantity

Performs cycle counting as required

Communicates with others appropriately

Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications:**

Previous experience operating forklifts and reach-lifts

Warehouse experience preferred

Experience with warehouse management systems helpful

Experience with warehouse RF equipment preferred

Knowledge of safety regulations

High School Diploma or GED required
