Job description
The Academy Hotel, Colorado Springs is family owned and operated with 200 rooms. Housekeepers serve as the backbone of our hotel. The rooms have to be desirable because they're the direct barrier of the guest experience and the reputation of the property.
Wages: $ $17.25 DOE
Job Description | Responsibilities | Duties: Maintain cleanliness and turnaround of guest rooms in a timely manner. Ability to clean between 12-20 rooms as assigned for arrivals and stay overs in an eight hour shift. Stock carts with supplies and maintain the organization of the housekeeping closets. Clean bathrooms, dust and wipe down furniture and appliances, vacuum carpets and remove trash. Remove and replenish dirty linens and make beds. Replenish coffee and bathroom amenities. Check appliances, remotes, light bulbs and AC units to ensure they are in working order. Identify any maintenance issues and communicate to your supervisor, maintenance, or front desk.Friendly, accommodating communicate with guests. Respond to guest requests in a timely manner. Communicate with Housemen and Laundry staff. Adhere to other assignments as directed by your supervisor. Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with your team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Willingness to participate in training programs. Ability to take on the physical demands of the job. Excellent customer service and team work skills is essential.
